The Workshop Dramaturgy Dance is a workspace moderated by Daniel Rademacher and Matthias Quabbe. The two dramaturgs invite participants to exchange ideas about individual dramaturgical practice in contemporary dance and to further develop their own approaches.
Together, artistic approaches to dramaturgical practice in process-oriented projects are being examined. The focus is on discussing case studies and situations from the participants own artistic work in order to open up a space for reflection and to share concrete questions and requirements for the position of dramaturgy. On the one hand, the aim is to describe areas of work, tasks, and responsibilities, as well as the specific challenges of dramaturgical work. On the other hand, there will be a concrete exchange about individual practice, specific working approaches, ideas, insights, tips, and tricks.
The workshop is aimed at dramaturgs, artists, and production participants who take on an independent dramaturgical position in projects—from production dramaturgy to outside eye.
